Nung-Budo-Ky is the art and practice of becoming a perfect human being and the science of achieving soul consciousness, Satori and Nirvana by way of meditation, Divine love and a rightful life of truth through the experience of Zen; it is the ritualistic expression of the philosophy of Nungkyyii.

What is Divine love? Divine love is a magnetic energy that permeates the entire universe, and is designed by the Evolutionary Process to bring about human harmony and its life support. Divine love, when processed into human consciousness, becomes a physical expression of the law of integration. Divine love works in accordance with the truth, in order to fulfill human destiny and assure the progressive and evolutionary development of the human race. As energy, Divine love is naturally endowed with the desire for expression and physical manifestation. Its mechanism of expression and manifestation is the human mind. The human mind must be programmed to be conscious of the existence of Divine love if such an energetic and dynamic power source is ever to reach its potential level of human expression and physical manifestation. The bringing about of such a consciousness of the human mind involves serious education, organization and discipline of the mind. Its daily pattern of activity must be structured and directed toward the consciousness of Divine love. We call this pattern of directed and structured activity of consciousness, Rightful Living.

Rightful living is the act of becoming a greater human being through greater developments of consciousness, harmlessness, intelligence, discipline, responsibility and moral behavior. Such a rightful lifestyle requires the cultivation of a conscious, intelligent, disciplined, responsible and harmless environment; an environment blueprinted with a dynamic human spirit and a progressive philosophy programmed to achieve the development of greater human beings. Such an aim and achievement of greater human development through Divine love is being accomplished through the experience of Zen through the art and practice of Nung-Budo-Ky.

To avoid the ambiguity that the word Zen has attracted down through the ages of time, Nungkyyii simply explains Zen as a particular way through a particular experience. Zen is a spiritual journey to a higher state of consciousness, resulting in a greater understanding, a circumspective view of the picture of life and a transformation of the human being, by way of character, conduct and conversation. Zen is by no means a religion. It is a way of liberation, a way of untangling us from the social role-playing in which we have mistaken our true identity. The purpose of Zen is to open our "Third Eye," (the eye of insight) that can see through the mundane veil and reveal the underlying unity and inseparability of the universe and the individual. Zen is the game of life in which we discover whom we really are underneath the masks and roles that we call our personality. It is the experience of consciously traveling through the journey of the way, which holds the true value of Zen. Anyone can easily engage in the practice of Zen while avoiding its process of transformation. The forces of transformation and the registration of pain, causes direct impressions upon consciousness. Pain promotes avoidance in those who are not properly prepared for the complete journey and total experience of the way. The transforming process of Zen demands complete changes. Changes in: one's viewpoint from just concrete to both concrete and abstract; one's attitude from pessimism and negativity to optimism and positivity; one's character from sub-human to super human; one's personality from being driven by the ego to being guided by the soul; one's expression from evil and destructive to righteous and constructive; and one's objective from material success to spiritual success. These changes are so radical and painful toward the human emotions that only a few Zen practitioners ever reach Satori (enlightenment) and Nirvana (happiness).

Nungkyyii addresses the nature of the difficulty of spiritual transformation with a more modern and contemporary approach through the art and practice of Nung-Budo-Ky. As an offspring of the philosophy of Nungkyyii, Nung-Budo-Ky also embraces the three things that matters most energy, activity and consciousness.

There are three forms of energy that are most important in the art and practice of Nung-Budo-Ky.

(1)     Divine energy - The Infinite Mind of Intelligence

(2)     Solar energy - Rays of the sun

(3)     Human energy - Love

Divine energy The Infinite Mind of Intelligence is the essence of matter and all existence. It is the intelligent force responsible for creation and its perpetuation. In the act of creation this Divine energy divided itself into fractions that magnetized matter into forms of life, thus causing an offspring energy known as the soul. In the human kingdom this energy called the soul is preceded in activity by the energy of the ego and the energy of the personality. These lesser forms of energy are created by the penetration of the soul's rays through the different grades of matter of the human body. Divine energy and its offspring, the soul, has sandwiched matter (the human body) in a Master Plan to eventually manipulate man into a Divine vehicle of creative expression. This Master Plan involves the reunion of Divine energy with its offspring, the soul, through the penetration of the physical grades of matter of the human body, creating cosmic consciousness. In the process of the soul and Divine energy penetrating different grades of the human body, lesser forms of energy have been created. One such energy called the ego has become self-conscious and discovered its nature (desire). The ego's rise to power through knowledge and self-consciousness has resulted in the creation of a world of illusions and unreality. By acting independent of Divine energy, the ego has multiplied itself into many forms of expressions with the plan to perpetuate its world of illusions and unreality by enslaving the energy called the personality. The personality being the vehicle of expression for the ego is ignorant and unconscious of the energy of the soul. The ego plans on keeping the personality in this state of ignorance. On the outside of the body, Divine energy is penetrating its rays in the direction of the soul. At a destined time in our universe the reunion of Divine energy rays and soul energy rays will trap the ego into a transformation of a new and powerful energy called Triplicity. Triplicity is the vibration caused by the integration of the ego, the soul and the Over-Soul (Divine energy). Triplicity will renew the personality, and cause the personality to be conscious of its triune relationship with the soul and Divine energy. The harmonious expression of ego, soul and Divine energy through the personality will direct the body in carrying out the Divine Master Plan.

Solar energy – The rays of the sun provides all life in its solar system with the proper radiation for existence. The creation of the human being assisted by evolution was the result of a fiery friction between the Divine and Solar energies. Over powered by Divine energy, the residue of Solar energy was reduced to matter. This frictional process created magnetism between the fractions of Divine energy (souls) and matter. The results formulated the creation of organic life. Matter, having a finite structure, needed energy to sustain its existence. The Infinite Mind of Intelligence has arranged for a supplementary energy called the sun, in order to support the existence of life through its alpha-beta-gamma rays. The human body being composed of a greater, more complex form of matter than other forms of life, necessitates a higher quality of Solar energy. Solar energy loses its quality grade as it penetrates pollution through the different atmospheres. The grade of Solar energy that reaches the human body is insufficient for complete support of the energetic needs of the human form. Therefore, the Infinite Mind of Intelligence has arranged for an additional energy to support the human form and further its progressive and Divine development. We call this additional energy love.

Human Energy – Love is an extremely potent energy that is created through the interactivity of the polarities of human beings. As the quality of Solar energy lessens, the quality of Human energy has to increase in order to maintain an atomic equilibrium of matter and energy within the human being. In the ritualistic practice of the philosophy of Nungkyyii, Nung-Budo-Ky integrates Divine energy, Solar energy and Human energy on a daily basis through the rituals of meditation, human development and human relationships. The Infinite Mind of Intelligence creates activity as its perpetual friction. This friction creates multiple fires of energy that vibrates throughout our universe. The consequential reaction of Divine activity created the Law of Karma. This cause and effect relationship (Law of Karma) is the engine of evolution. Activity on a human level concerns our behavior within our daily cycles. We have been conditioned to behave according to the reactions of our thinking and feeling processes, which are greatly influenced by environmental and inherited traits. The inherited traits of instinct, intellect and intuition, together they influence the energies of will and desire. Instinct being the oldest inherited trait has the greatest influence on the human emotions, thereby, dominating desire. The intellect is an inherited trait created by reason. It has a greater influence over the will. Intuition is a new comer to the family of inherited traits. It has very little influence as it continues its development within the human brain. The force of Intuition only increases through the integration and harmonious union of the will and the desire. Each trait is in need of the personality for its independent expression. The environmental traits are: status and recognition, worth and security along with power and influence. The combined expressions of inherited and environmental traits control the way the human race thinks, behaves, develops, structures and conducts its activities of living. It is so unfortunate that so many humans live lifestyles that are in direct opposition to their human nature. These destructive lifestyles are in desperate need of rightful living. Rightful living influences the flow of Divine energy up the yang meridian of the body causing the atoms of the body to rotate counter clockwise, thus synchronizing with the rotations of the heavenly bodies of the universe. Atomic counter clockwise motion creates a field force that increases the conductivity of Divine energy currents. When Divine energy flows strongly though the human body unobstructed by negative forces, it purifies the body of its parasitic host of diseases and illnesses, promoting mental and physical health.

The positive, constructive and intelligent behavior of the human race guarantees the survival and continuous evolution of the entire kingdoms of organic life on our planet. As conscious and intelligent humans, we are the guardians of life on planet earth. The present direction of life toward progress of the material world has deprived the human race of the consciousness of the vital need for progress in the spiritual world. This deprivation of spiritual consciousness and its expression in human life is causing the human body to gain a greater level of molecular density, creating greater difficulty for the soul's rays to penetrate the body matter and elevate the consciousness of the personality. It is the spiritual activity of rightful living that will free the human race of its social ills and mental disorders that prevent the race from climbing the spiritual ladder of consciousness.

Consciousness is a state of awareness brought about by the workings of our nervous system and the brain's process of comprehension and understanding. The scope of our awareness depends on the level of our experience and the degree of acceptance of the impressions that the experiences of life thrust upon our emotions. Because these impressions of experience (lessons of life) are most likely to be very unpleasant, we go far out of our way to avoid the pain that is necessary in the registration process of awareness that the experience has to offer. The obsession with the avoidance of pain and discomfort has caused unequilibrium between the receptive and repulsive regions of the brain, causing the repulsive region to dominate our faculty of reason. This tragic brain disorder causes a severe state of unconsciousness and a serious addiction to pain relieving substances. The acceptance of pain calls for conscious intelligent strength on behalf of each person. Nungkyyii defines human strength as the cultivation, development and synchronization of love, faith and intelligence.

Love – This human resource extends far beyond just emotions. Love is an energetic form of magnetism. Its attractive force has been referred to as the Elmer's glue of the universe. It is best described as Stick-To-It-Ness. We must stick to our commitments as we fight the law of separation and other forces of opposition that try to divide us from that which we love. In our struggle to stick to that which we claim to love we gain greater adherence. In other words our Stick-To-It-Ness gets stickier. The force of love integrates, adds, and multiplies – causing a greater activity. When love weakens and it appears that we are losing our grip, adherence or stickiness, we have no choice but to have faith in love and believe that love will eventually overcome its obstacles.

Faith is our means of connecting with the abstract world. It is our bridge of communication between the self and the Divine. It is the power to convert that which we imagine into reality. We should believe in an idea, concept or dream and support that belief through diligent effort and energy, expressed on a non-stop basis. For every idea or dream that we force into reality through our belief system the stronger we raise the level of our faith – the stronger our expression of faith, the greater our achievements in life – the greater our achievements in life, the greater we raise our levels of self-esteem, self-confidence and overall self-worth – the greater our self-development, the greater we become as human beings.

Intelligence is our ability to overcome the obstacles in our life; to solve the problem we encounter, and to discriminate right from wrong in order to make the best decisions. This valuable human resource helps protect our love and faith from the adversaries of separation, doubt and fear. We increase our intelligence as we face and overcome our situations, circumstances and conditions, as they shower down upon us in the form of truth everyday. When we cultivate, develop and synchronize the human resources of Love, Faith and Intelligence on a daily basis, the combination of strength they provide helps us succeed in traveling down our spiritual path.

Art and practice as a meaning has been given to the word Nung to represent the commitment the philosophy has toward progressivism. Striving for excellence marks the nature of the philosophy of Nungkyyii.
