When the profession of teaching loses its prestige; educators are no longer valued as the architects of civilization, and the rewards of academics are dwarfed by the exceptional pay offs of sports and entertainment –  an alarm should go off that warns society and its officials of the inevitable consequences.

A conspiracy of ignorance, as Martin L. Gross describes it in his book, has already overwhelmed the system of education. Its infrastructure has created a political haven that safeguards its establishment from reasonable scrutiny. Educators have been organized into a National Association that dictates their thinking patterns of teaching and learning. No educator dare rock the boat of the National Association with actions of conscientious mindfulness in regards to the pitiful condition of education.

The deplorable condition and circumstances of today's education is by far no sworn secret. Educating officials and administrators seem to have created "turn your head, don't look" policies, while the association of education as a whole ignores that students are failing miserably in school and have lost both interest and meaning in regards to academic learning. As long as the social system fills the lower ranks of the economy with intellectually deprived laboring/consumers, then all is well in the social system. And if the system of education doesn't appear to be broken in the eyes of the status quo, then the prosperous "powers that be" definitely will not bother to address the necessity to fix it.

"Education is definitely broken, and certainly will not fix itself!"

Only when educators who are bold enough to declare education broken, who possess the will and audacity to repair it, take the initiative to step forward in action, will schools become greater institutions of learning. And those whom education concern and benefits the most should be education's greatest supporters of its repair – parents and their children.

By the year 2020 all but a sheer miniscule of Baby Boomer teachers will have reached retirement. Such a major shift in the teaching profession will seriously cripple the levels of talent, quality and dedication of the field of pedagogy. Education will become saturated with a whole new attitude, expression and perspective of teaching, mainly created by new teachers who are more so teaching employers rather than pedagogues.

The belittlement of recognition and reward, along with the inappropriate pay scale and absence of teacher incentives has devalued the vocation of teaching to the lowest level of professionalism. Mechanics and construction workers are better paid citizens of our society than teachers. Such corrosion of dignity, prestige and esteem of the teaching profession has already generated what I call "The Good Teacher Flight." The best of teachers are taking flight to corporate America. They are being lured and serenaded by top executives who make job offers with salaries and signing bonuses too dynamic and rewarding to refuse.

The philosophy of Nungkyyii declares the field of teaching and its teachers to be the most important segment of our society. No other vocational expression has the magnitude of impact on the development and destiny of humanity as the artistic profession of teaching. Therefore the Purple Dragons Pedagogue Society and its Teachers Academy will elevate the teaching profession back to its level of reward, recognition and respect, and place it back up on its pedestal of pride, prestige and dignity.  

The Purple Dragons Teachers Academy has established the fact that its number one objective is to produce the world's greatest pedagogues. We expect to accomplish such a human endeavor through the processes of selection, preparation and role modeling. As far as selection is concerned we will select the most dedicated, intelligent, gifted, and talented young martial artists from our Purple Dragons Cadet program, and the most educated, intelligent, talented and ambitious young educators with teaching certifications from the best universities, to enroll them in our Purple Dragons Martial Arts Teachers Academy. As far as preparation is concerned we will start Purple Dragons Cadets at the age of 12 years old, on the lowest level of martial arts training and develop their way up to black belt level or above. After achieving Official Instructor ranking all Cadets must matriculate into a university and graduate with a Master's degree in academics, and an engineering degree in technology. And certified teachers will work their way up the martial arts ladder to black belt level and above as they continue their graduate level to PHD and their technological education to the level of engineer. As far as role modeling is concerned "Do as I do," rather than "Do as I say" will be the example of our teachers. Role modeling will be the Academy's greatest method and expression of teaching. It will be our specific trademark as a renowned institution of pedagogy.

The Purple Dragons Teachers Academy will be committed and dedicated to teaching teachers how to teach successfully. Successful teaching is determined by the success of learning. According to my concept of progressive education, "if a student hasn't learned a teacher hasn't taught." Successful teaching can be a very difficult and complicated process when obstructed by learning disabilities; deprivation; environmental stress; and lack of adequate skills and proper academic preparation on behalf of the students. If teaching is to declare itself both a science and art, it must overcome such obstacles of learning methodically. The Academy introduces its teachers to the science and art of teaching. Since the mind is the medium by which all learning manifest, the science of teaching must demonstrate the psychology of learning. Teachers must become psychologists if they are to understand the patterns of thought and behavior that create the reality of their students, and operate their learning process. Teacher/student relationship is a crucial factor in the process of teaching and the psychology of learning. When students sense that they are disliked by their teacher they struggle with inferior feelings and conjure hostile thoughts and emotions toward the teacher. Teachers on the other hand, find it difficult to teach students who rebel or exhibit disrespect. Relationship building that is engineered by the teacher is capable of influencing the students' thoughts and attitude toward learning.  

The practice and training of martial arts is the foundation of The Purple Dragons Teachers Academy. There is no other field of learning that challenges the science and art of teaching like that of martial arts. In the world of martial arts, teacher status, image, reputation, respect and character conjure emulation from the mind of students. A teacher's martial arts expressions of discipline, skills and techniques must always progress and continue to rein superior to his or her students. Therefore martial arts teachers are forced to maintain their personal workout training, and forever stay physically fit. Respect is mandatory in martial arts training. It is not enforced or demanded, but instead, it is earned. Teachers must earn respect from students and maintain it as long as they teach. Earning respect forces a greater bonding relationship between teacher and student. Overall, teaching martial arts greatly improves the teaching skills of an academic teacher.

As a member of the Purple Dragons Pedagogue Society discipline, diet and exercise are mandatory factors of living in the lifestyle of all teachers through a daily behavior pattern called The Omega Program. Our teachers will experience ecstatic levels of self-satisfaction from the pleasurable emotions of self-worth, self-respect and self-esteem, derived from the everyday development of self-consciousness, self-confidence and self-discipline.

The Purple Dragons Teachers Academy will be built in the state of Georgia, a few miles south of the city of Atlanta. The spiritual movement's Longevity Center will be constructed on the Academy's campus site. The center will host the world's most advanced technology in health care; recruit the greatest professionals of the all around fields of the sciences of the human body, and administer the most successful longevity program – The Omega Program. Our Longevity Center will also accommodate the headquarters of Minc. (Minds Incorporated) The most advanced minds in the world from all across the globe in science, education and technology will take up residence at the Longevity Center to concentrate on restoring their health and fitness to maximum levels, while rendering their talents, expertise and professional services to the success of both The New Revolution and The Omega Project.

For the Purple Dragons Teachers Academy to produce the greatest Pedagogues on planet Earth will not only be one of my highest goals, but also one of my greatest pleasures.
